Description of works for industrial insulation and ships insulation
The support of stone wool in thermal and fire proof insulation is done with welded supports, pins, at distances of 30mm equal horizontal and vertical. Metallic iron surfaces are electrically welded pins of 3 mm thickness and length longer than the thickness of the rock wool. Its locking is done with special galvanized clips, washers,with 38mm diameter .
FIREPROOF INSULATION
FIRE DAMPERS Α-60. The insulation is consisted by 100kg / m3 rockwool slabs in thickness of 60mm between the reinforcements and thickness of 25mm on the reinforcements.
FIRE DAMPERS Α-30. The insulation is consisted by 100kg / m3 rockwool slabs in thickness of 60mm between the reinforcements and thickness of 25mm on the reinforcements.
FIRE DAMPERS Α-60. The insulation is consisted by 100kg / m3 rockwool slabs in thickness of 60mm between the reinforcements and thickness of 25mm on the reinforcements.
FIRE DAMPERS Α-30. The insulation is consisted by 100kg / m3 rockwool slabs and 25mm thickness between and on reinforcements.
THERMAL INSULATIONS OF DECKS & DAMPERS
It is applied to any exposed surface of the decks, in areas of accommodation to reduce air conditioning losses. The insulation is consisted by rockwool with 32kg/m3 density and 50mm thickness between and on the reinforcement with aluminum coating on one side.
INSULATION FOR AIR CONDITIONING-AIR VENTING
- Placing perforated or electric welded hooks for the support of insulation when is required.
- Installation of fireproof insulation made of stone wool in 40 mm thick slabs with external fiber glass coating impregnated in 30-36 fireproof glue.
- Alternatively, thermal insulation with the use of mineral wool with density 50kg/m3 and 25mm thickness with aluminum coating on the visible side.
LINING OF INSULATION FOR DECKS & DAMPERS
The exterior lining of fireproof insulation is consisted by non-combustible fiberglass with 200gr/m2 density impregnated in non-combustible coating
DRAFT STOP
Application of fireproof insulation to stone wool slabs of 100kg / m3 and 5mm thickness. The external lining of the insulation is consisted by a non-combustible glass fiber with 200gr / m2 density impregnated in non-combustible coating 30-36 on both sides of the rock wool.
EXHAUST GAS SYSTEM M/M - E/M PIPING - SILENCERS
The insulation is consisted by mineral wool 50mm thickness and 100kg / m3 density reinforced by galvanized mesh. The fastening of the insulation, is done by sewing it with galvanized wire at the edges of the mesh and welding hooks where is required.The external lining of the insulation is consisted of:
- glass-wool with weight 360g / m2 impregnated in non-combustible 30-36 coating
- Galvanized steel sheets of 0.6 mm thickness, formed by grooving at their edges for waterproofing and the support is done by self-piercing screws.
THERMAL INSULATING PILLOWS OF COMPONENTS
The pillows are made of 630gr / m2 glass-fiber as external coating filled with mineral wool quilt 60mm thick and weighing 110gr / m3. They are also filled with a ceramic wool blanket, 25-50mm thickness, weighing 128kg / m2, and are stitched perimetrically. The thermal insulation on the flanges and the slidings is made up by thermal insulating pillows made of 25mm thick ceramic wool quilt and with 620gr / m2 fiberglass.
Thereafter, special cuts are placed on their edges in pieces, depending on their size, with in-out washers so they will not damage the fiberglass and will have proper application. Their support is made with galvanized wire that has applied at both edges along its length.
EXHAUST GAS SYSTEM M/M - E/M
The thermal insulation of pipelines in the gas exhaust from the lids to the TURBO, on M/M & E/M, consisted by a 25mm thick ceramic wool with a density of 128kg / m3. The fastening is done by perimeter bindings of galvanized wire. The external coating of the insulation consisted of fiberglass weighing 360gr/m2 impregnated on a non-combustible coating 31-36.
INSULATION OF STEAM-OIL PIPES
The work is done with a rock wool shell in the form of a pipe with thickness 20mm or 30mm, depending on the cross section of the pipe. The fastening on the pipes is made by perimeter bindings of galvanized wire.
The external lining of the above insulation is consisted of:
- glass-wool with weight 360g / m2 impregnated in non-combustible 30-36 coating
- Galvanized steel sheets of 0.6 mm thickness, formed by grooving at their edges for waterproofing and the support is done by self-piercing screws.
PIPES FOR COOLING OF HOT WATER
- Installation of new thermal insulation in the networks, consisted of flexible elastomeric insulation in pipes and in sheets with 19mm & 13mm thickness .
- External coating on the above insulation from a fiberglass with density 200gr / m2 and impregnated with 30-36 fireproof glue.
FIREPROOF INSULATION FOR DECKS Α-60 ( FLOATING FLOOR )
For the leveling of the metal floor is applied a special primer coating followed by fillings of cementitious underlayment material. Then A-60 fireproof mineral wool is laid on plates of 200kg / m3 density & 60mm thick. The application is made in two layers, each with a thickness of 30 mm, crosswise. Finally, two layers of galvanized sheet metal , with 2mm & 1.5mm thick, are welded to their edges and are fastened together with rivets.
