A technical inspection was carried out during the delivery process of the new Lidl store in Messina.
The inspection was made to exclude problems of air leakage and inflow,that can cause the constant change of store's internal temperature and huge energy waste.
At the same time, the building envelope was tested to ensure the energy efficiency of the construction.
The inspection included :
- A blower door was used to test the construction for its airtightness according to ISO 9972: 2015
- General thermographic inspection with an infrared thermal camera for the qualitative detection of thermal irregularities in the building envelope according to EN 13187: 1998.
Written study and analysis of the results:
An analytical report was presented to the managers of the manufacturing company with the results and the measurements for the air-tightness and energy efficiency of the construction.
