VARNISH-PU 1KG Transparent polyurethane varnish

VARNISH-PU 1K is a transparent solvent-free aliphatic polyurethane varnish. The membrane it creates is watertight, unaffected by UV radiation, does not yellow and has very good mechanical and chemical resistance

It offers the following advantages:

1. Easy application.
2. Particularly suitable for interiors because it does not smell.
3. Resistance to UV radiation and weather conditions (rain, frost).
4. Resistance to cleaners, oils, seawater, etc.
5. Water vapour permeability.
6. The area is accessible to pedestrians.

• Form: prepolymerized polyurethane resin
• Shade: transparent, satin-matte
• Density: 1.12 kg / l
• Viscosity: 640 mPa · sec (+ 23ºC)
• Tensile strength:> 50 N / mm2 (ASTM D412)
• Elongation at break (ASTM D 412): 20-22%
• Shore D Hardness: 74
• Abrasion resistance: 35 mg (CS17 / 1000/1000) (ASTM D 4060)
• Capillary water absorption: <0.1 kg / m2; h0.5 (EN 1062-3, requirement EN 1504-2: w <0.1)
• Adhesion to concrete:> 2 N / mm2 (EN 1542)
• CO2 permeability: Sd> 50 m (EN 1062-6)
• Artificial ageing: Successful (no (EN 1062-11, blisters appear, after 2000 h) cracks or detachment)
• Fire response: Class F (EN 13501-1)
• Consumption: 100 g / m2 per layer, depending on the absorbency of the substrate.

• Prior to application, it is recommended to lightly stir the VARNISH-PU 1K.
• Excessive agitation should be avoided for the risk of air entrapment.
• VARNISH-PU 1K is rolled.
• Depending on the absorbency and the use of the substrate, 2 to 4 coats are required.
• Each subsequent layer follows within 24 hours from the previous one and if it has dried, depending on the weather conditions.
