VIMELAST. Spreadable elastomeric roof sealant.
It has very good adhesion to all building materials. Forms after application a single, waterproof and durable membrane, without joints and joints. Its high elasticity bridges the displacements and cracks of the substrate.
- Dilute with water.
- Shades: white, grey, tile
Features / Benefits
- Very good adhesion to any type of surface, such as concrete, plaster, bricks, metals, wood and sealing layers, except those that contain solvents.
- It has high elasticity, which can bridge the cracks
- It reflects heat and contributes significantly to reducing the temperature.
- It has great resistance to weather effects and time because it withstands ultraviolet radiation.
- It does not require the smoothness of the substrate.
- Gives the simplest and safest solution to difficult sealing points (corners, edges, joints with roofing pencils).
- It offers the greatest possible safety because the membrane that is created covers the entire surface without joints and joints, which are the problematic points of all other seals.
- It is highly resistant to the effects of acids and alkalis in the atmosphere.
Application instructions
- The substrate must be clean and solid, free of grease, loose materials (eg cement paste crusts), dust, etc.
- The gaps in the concrete (nests, puddles) must be filled with ready-made VIMACRET resin cement mortar or with cement mortar with the addition of VIRESIN building resin.
- Joints or cracks can be filled with VIMASTIC acrylic mastic or VIMACRYL SPACHTEL acrylic putty.
- On porous surfaces, in order to achieve perfect adhesion of VIMELAST to the substrate, pre-priming (priming) with VIM-PRIMER primer is required (consumption approximately 200-300 g / m²).
- Priming can also be done with VIMELAST diluted with water in a ratio of 1: 1. Over old asphalt, coatings are recommended the priming with the solvent primer VIM-PRIMER-S (200 g / m²).
