VIMABIT ALU-COAT aluminum colored bituminous base 5kg

VIMABIT ALU-COAT is a mixture of bitumen, organic solvents and aluminum paste. Creates a reflective film protecting the waterproofing system from solar radiation. The film formed after drying is uniform, unaffected by dilute solutions of acids and bases, but attacked by petroleum.

• Application temperature: +5 0C to +50 0C
• Flash point: C.O.C. minimum 35 0C

Applications

• Reflective paint for bituminous coatings.
• Protection of old and new asphalt layers from the influence of solar radiation.
• Anti-corrosion protection of metal structures, it is compatible with polyurethane, concrete, lightweight concrete, brick, plasterboard, metal, wood, asbestos cement (it is not compatible with polystyrene due to the solvents it contains).
• VIMABIT ALU-COAT is applied to asphalt waterproofing membranes with a top coating of quartz sand or thin polypropylene fabric.
• VIMABIT ALU-COAT is used for the protection of old bituminous membranes covered with mineral mosaic or aluminum foil.
• VIMABIT ALU-COAT is not applicable to bituminous waterproofing membranes with a polyethylene film topcoat due to poor adhesion
