Aquaroc consists of cement and expanded polystyrene granules evenly distributed and of almost the same size (diameter). On both sides it has fiberglass reinforcement. Its production process is very similar to that of plasterboard.
Due to its composition, Aquaroc cement board has the following advantages:
• It has good fire resistance
• It has excellent water behavior with negligible moisture absorption
• It has a lower weight compared to competing products, which means ease of handling, transportation and installation
• It is easy to cut and screw. Aquaroc cement board is cut like plasterboard (with a plasterboard cutter).
• The width, length and thickness dimensions of Aquaroc correspond to those of plasterboard, which makes it very easy to mix cement board and plasterboard in drywall constructions.
